- Fresh sage leaves - 10 grams, chopped
- Garlic clove - 1, minced
- Onion - 50 grams, finely chopped
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Sweet potatoes - 400 grams, cut into fries
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Coconut flour - 2 tablespoons (optional for binding)
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F) for the sweet potato fries.
- In a large bowl, combine the ground pork, chopped sage, minced garlic, finely chopped onion, salt, black pepper, and coconut flour (if using) until well mixed.
- Form the pork mixture into two equal-sized patties.
- Toss the sweet potato fries in olive oil and paprika, then spread them on a baking sheet in a single layer.
- Bake the sweet potato fries in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, turning halfway through until golden and crispy.
- While the fries are baking, heat a skillet over medium heat and add a little olive oil.
- Cook the pork patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through and reach an internal temperature of 70°C (160°F).
- Once the burgers and fries are done, serve the pork and sage burgers hot with the sweet potato fries on the side.
