Ingredients

  • Chicken thighs - 400 grams
  • Plain yogurt - 100 grams

  • Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Ground coriander - 1 teaspoon
  • Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Oil - 2 tablespoons

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine yogurt, ginger paste, garlic paste, ground cumin, ground coriander, garam masala, turmeric powder, red chili powder, salt, lemon juice, and oil to make the marinade.
  2. Add the chicken thighs to the marinade, ensuring they are fully coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours for better flavor.
  3. Preheat your grill or BBQ to medium-high heat.
  4. Remove the chicken from the marinade and let any excess marinade drip off.
  5. Place the chicken thighs on the grill and cook for about 6-8 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 75°C (165°F).
  6. Once cooked, remove from the grill and let rest for 5 minutes.
  7. Garnish with chopped cilantro before serving.
