- Ground beef - 300 grams
- Onion - 1 medium, finely chopped
- Fresh coriander - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Fresh mint - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Green chilies - 2, finely chopped
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Egg - 1 large
- Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
- Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
- Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Pomegranate seeds - 2 tablespoons, optional
- Bread crumbs - 2 tablespoons
- Oil - for shallow frying
Steps
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped onion, coriander, mint, green chilies, garlic, ginger, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Add the egg and breadcrumbs to the mixture; mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.
- Shape the mixture into flat round patties about 1 cm thick.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, carefully place the kebabs in the pan, cooking in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding.
- Fry each kebab for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
- Once cooked, remove the kebabs from the pan and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
- Serve hot with mint yogurt sauce and naan or rice.
