- Green peas - 100 grams
- Bell pepper - 100 grams

- Tomato - 2 medium (200 grams)
- Ginger - 1 inch piece, minced
- Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
- Green chili - 1, finely chopped
- Cooked red lentils (masoor dal) - 100 grams
- Pav Bhaji masala - 2 tablespoons
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
- Butter - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - to taste
- Cilantro - for garnish
- Lemon wedges - for serving
- Pav (bread rolls) - 4 pieces
Steps
- 1. Boil the potatoes and cauliflower until tender, then drain and mash them together in a large bowl.
- 2. In a pan, heat butter over medium heat and add cumin seeds until they splutter.
- 3. Add chopped onions, minced ginger, garlic, and green chili to the pan, sauté until onions are golden brown.
- 4. Stir in chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, and Pav Bhaji masala, cooking until the tomatoes are soft and oil separates.
- 5. Add the mashed potato and cauliflower mixture, cooked lentils, and green peas, mixing well.
- 6. Pour in a little water to adjust the consistency, and let it simmer for 10 minutes. Stir occasionally.
- 7. Taste and adjust salt as needed, then garnish with chopped cilantro.
- 8. Serve hot with buttered Pav, lemon wedges, and extra cilantro on the side.
