Ingredients
- chickpea flour - 100 grams
- powdered jaggery - 80 grams
- coconut milk - 100 ml
- ghee (vegan) - 2 tablespoons
- cardamom powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- chopped nuts (almonds and pistachios) - 30 grams
- salt - a pinch
Steps
- In a non-stick pan, heat the vegan ghee on medium heat until melted.
- Add the chickpea flour to the ghee and roast it, stirring continuously for about 5-7 minutes until it turns slightly golden and fragrant.
- Lower the heat and add the powdered jaggery to the roasted flour, mixing well.
- Pour in the coconut milk gradually, stirring constantly to avoid lumps, until the mixture thickens and starts to leave the sides of the pan.
- Add the cardamom powder and a pinch of salt, mixing until combined.
- Remove from heat and let the mixture cool for a few minutes.
- Grease a small tray or plate with a bit of vegan ghee and pour the mixture onto it, spreading it evenly.
- Sprinkle the chopped nuts on top and gently press them in.
- Let it cool completely for about 15 minutes, then cut into square pieces.
- Serve at room temperature.
