  • Pasta (any shape) - 150 grams
  • Chicken breast (boneless, cut into bite-sized pieces) - 250 grams
  • Onion (finely chopped) - 1 medium
  • Tomato (pureed) - 1 medium
  • Green bell pepper (sliced) - 1 small
  • Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Kadai masala (store-bought or homemade) - 2 teaspoons
  • Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Cooking oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt - to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves (chopped) - for garnish
  • Water - 2 cups

Steps

  1. Boil water in a large pot, add salt, and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the cooking oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and sauté until they turn translucent.
  3. Add the ginger-garlic paste and sauté for another minute until fragrant.
  4. Add the chicken pieces to the skillet and cook until they are no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Stir in the tomato puree, green bell pepper, Kadai masala, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Cook for 5-6 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and the masala is well combined.
  6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss everything together to coat the pasta in the sauce. If the mixture is too dry, add a little water to achieve the desired consistency.
  7. Sprinkle garam masala over the dish and mix well. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  8. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
