- Tomato (finely chopped) - 1 medium
- Coriander leaves (chopped) - 2 tablespoons
- Green chili (finely chopped) - 1 small
- Chaat masala - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Cucumber (sliced) - 1 small
- Avocado (sliced) - 1 small
- Pani (spiced water) - 1 cup
- Green chutney (optional) - for topping
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine boiled and mashed potatoes, cooked chickpeas, chopped red onion, tomato, coriander leaves, green chili, chaat masala, salt, and lemon juice. Mix well to create the filling.
- Take each puri and gently press down the top to create a small opening.
- Fill each puri with a spoonful of the potato and chickpea mixture.
- Add a slice of cucumber and a slice of avocado on top of the filling in each puri.
- Serve the filled puris on a plate with a small bowl of pani on the side for dipping.
