Ingredients

  • Paneer - 200 grams
  • Bell peppers (mixed colors) - 1 cup (about 150 grams, diced)
  • Red onion - 1 medium (about 100 grams, diced)
  • Greek yogurt - 100 grams
  • Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Skewers - 4 (if wooden, soak in water for 30 minutes)

Steps

  1. In a bowl, mix Greek yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, garam masala, turmeric powder, red chili powder, lemon juice, salt, and olive oil to create the marinade.
  2. Cut the paneer into 2.5 cm cubes and add them to the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated. Let this sit for at least 15 minutes (or up to 2 hours in the refrigerator for more flavor).
  3. Preheat your grill or oven to 200°C (392°F).
  4. While the grill is heating, prepare the skewers by alternating the marinated paneer cubes, bell pepper pieces, and onion pieces until the skewers are filled.
  5. Place the skewers on the grill or in the oven and cook for about 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally, until the paneer is golden and slightly charred.
  6. Serve hot with mint chutney or yogurt dip.
