Ingredients

  • Paneer - 250 grams
  • Yogurt - 100 grams
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Bell peppers (mixed colors) - 1 cup, chopped
  • Onion - 1 medium, cubed
  • Tomato puree - 200 grams
  • Cream - 50 grams
  • Oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Cilantro - for garnish
  • Naan - 2 pieces
  • Mixed salad (cucumber, tomato, onion) - 1 cup

Steps

  1. Cut the paneer into cubes and place in a bowl. Add yogurt, lemon juice, garam masala, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin powder, and salt. Mix well and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F). Thread the marinated paneer, bell peppers, and onion onto skewers.
  3. Place the skewers on a baking tray and brush with oil. Bake for 15-20 minutes, turning halfway, until the paneer is golden and slightly charred.
  4. In a pan, heat 1 tablespoon of oil over medium heat. Add the tomato puree and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Add the cream to the tomato mixture and let it simmer for another 5 minutes. Adjust salt to taste.
  6. Carefully remove the skewers from the oven and add the grilled paneer and vegetables to the sauce. Stir gently to coat.
  7. Serve hot with naan and a side of mixed salad, garnished with fresh cilantro.
