Ingredients

  • Paneer - 200 grams
  • Yogurt - 100 grams
  • Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Bell peppers (mixed colors) - 100 grams, diced
  • Onion - 1 medium, diced
  • Tomatoes - 2 medium, pureed
  • Heavy cream - 50 ml
  • Cooking oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt - to taste
  • Fresh coriander - for garnish

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, garam masala, red chili powder, turmeric powder, lemon juice, and salt to create a marinade.
  2. Cut the paneer into cubes and add them to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat a grill or oven to 200°C (400°F). Skewer the marinated paneer cubes along with diced bell peppers and onions.
  4. Grill the skewers for about 10-15 minutes until the paneer is slightly charred and cooked through, turning occasionally.
  5. In a pan, heat the cooking oil over medium heat. Add the pureed tomatoes and cook for 5-7 minutes until the oil starts to separate.
  6. Add the heavy cream to the tomato sauce, stirring well to combine. Allow it to simmer for another 5 minutes.
  7. Add the grilled paneer skewers to the sauce and mix gently to coat the paneer with the masala. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with fresh coriander, in a bowl along with steamed basmati rice or naan.
