- Paneer - 200 grams
- Yogurt - 100 grams
- Ginger paste - 1 teaspoon
- Garlic paste - 1 teaspoon
- Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Bell pepper - 1 medium, cubed
- Onion - 1 medium, cubed
- Tomato puree - 200 grams
- Cream - 50 grams
- Cooking oil - 2 tablespoons
- Cilantro - for garnish
Steps
- In a bowl, mix yogurt, ginger paste, garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, cumin powder, and salt to create a marinade.
- Cut the paneer into cubes and add them to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Add the cubed bell pepper and onion as well.
- Cover the bowl and let it marinate for at least 20-30 minutes.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the marinated paneer, bell pepper, and onion, and cook until the paneer is golden and veggies are slightly tender. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, add the remaining oil and pour in the tomato puree. Cook for 5-7 minutes until the raw smell disappears.
- Stir in the cream and mix well. Add the cooked paneer and vegetables to the sauce, and simmer for another 5 minutes.
- Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve hot with naan or rice.
