Ingredients

  • Paneer - 250 grams
  • Onion - 1 medium, finely chopped
  • Ginger - 1 inch, grated
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Green chili - 1, finely chopped
  • Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Rice flour - 2 tablespoons
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Skewers - 4 (soaked in water for 30 minutes if wooden)

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, crumble the paneer and add the chopped onion, ginger, garlic, green chili, and cilantro.
  2. Sprinkle in the garam masala, cumin powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well to combine all ingredients.
  3. Add rice flour and lemon juice to the mixture, and knead until it forms a smooth, moldable dough.
  4. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion around a skewer into a cylindrical kebab.
  5. Preheat a grill or oven to medium-high heat. If using an oven, preheat to 200°C (400°F).
  6. Once heated, place the kebabs on the grill or in the oven and cook for about 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Remove from heat and let them rest for a couple of minutes before serving.
