Ingredients

  • Paneer - 250 grams
  • Thick yogurt - 100 grams
  • Heavy cream - 2 tablespoons
  • Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Kashmiri red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Bell peppers (mixed colors) - 1 cup, cubed
  • Onion - 1 medium, cubed
  • Skewers - 4 (if using wooden skewers, soak in water for 30 minutes)

Steps

  1. Cut the paneer into 1-inch cubes and set aside.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine thick yogurt, heavy cream, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, garam masala, cumin powder, Kashmiri red chili powder, turmeric powder, salt, and black pepper to create a smooth marinade.
  3. Add the paneer cubes, cubed bell peppers, and onion to the marinade, ensuring everything is well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Preheat a grill or oven to 200°C (392°F).
  5. Thread the marinated paneer, bell peppers, and onion alternately onto the skewers.
  6. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally, until the paneer is golden and slightly charred.
  7. Once done, remove from the grill and serve hot with mint chutney and lemon wedges.
