- Paneer - 200 grams
- Tomatoes - 3 medium, pureed
- Onion - 1 medium, finely chopped
- Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
- Green chilies - 1, slit
- Cashew nuts - 2 tablespoons, soaked and blended
- Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
- Fresh cream - 2 tablespoons
- Oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves - for garnish
Steps
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
- Add finely chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
- Stir in the ginger-garlic paste and green chilies, cooking for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the pureed tomatoes, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Cook until the oil separates from the mixture.
- Stir in the cashew paste and cook for another 2-3 minutes, adding a little water if necessary to achieve a smooth consistency.
- Add the paneer cubes and garam masala, gently mixing to coat the paneer in the gravy. Cook for 5 minutes.
- Finish with fresh cream, stirring well. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with naan or rice.
