- Paneer - 200 grams
- Whole wheat flour - 1 cup
- Yogurt - 2 tablespoons
- Capsicum (bell pepper) - 1 medium, sliced
- Onion - 1 medium, sliced
- Green chilies - 1, finely chopped
- Ginger-garlic paste - 1 teaspoon
- Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Red chili powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Oil - 2 tablespoons
- Cilantro (fresh coriander) - a handful, chopped
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, a pinch of salt, and water to make a soft dough. Cover and let it rest for 15 minutes.
- In a pan, heat 1 tablespoon of oil over medium heat. Add sliced onions, capsicum, and green chilies, and sauté until soft.
- Add ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt to the pan. Stir for a minute.
- Crumble the paneer into the pan and mix well. Add garam masala and cook for another 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat and add chopped cilantro and lemon juice. Set aside.
- Divide the dough into two equal portions and roll each into a thin circle (about 8 inches in diameter).
- In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of oil and cook each rolled paratha until golden brown on both sides.
- Place the cooked paratha on a flat surface, add the paneer mixture in the center, and roll tightly.
- Slice the roll in half and serve hot with your favorite chutney or sauce.
