  • Green chili - 1, slit
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Cooking oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Fresh coriander leaves - for garnish

Steps

  1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
  2. Add sliced onions and sauté until translucent.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and grated ginger, cooking for another minute until fragrant.
  4. Add diced tomatoes and green chili, cooking until the tomatoes soften.
  5. Sprinkle in turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for 2 minutes.
  6. Add the diced bell peppers and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until they are slightly tender but still crisp.
  7. Cut the paneer into cubes and add it to the pan, gently mixing to combine all ingredients.
  8. Sprinkle garam masala over the mixture and stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the paneer to absorb the flavors.
  9. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
