Ingredients

  • Paneer - 200 grams
  • Whole wheat roti - 2
  • Onion - 1 medium, finely chopped
  • Tomato - 1 medium, finely chopped
  • Green chili - 1, finely chopped
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Cooking oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of cooking oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add the finely chopped onion and sauté until it turns translucent.
  3. Stir in the grated ginger and green chili, cooking for another minute.
  4. Add the chopped tomato and cook until it softens.
  5. Sprinkle in the turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the spices are well combined.
  6. Crumble the paneer into the pan and mix thoroughly with the spice mixture.
  7. Cook for another 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the paneer is heated through.
  8. Add garam masala and chopped coriander leaves. Mix well and remove from heat.
  9. Warm the whole wheat rotis on a skillet.
  10. Spoon the paneer bhurji mixture onto each roti, drizzle with lemon juice, and wrap them tightly.
