Ingredients

  • Rice flour - 20 grams
  • Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Water - as needed
  • Oil - for frying

Steps

  1. Wash the spinach leaves thoroughly and pat them dry with a kitchen towel.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine chickpea flour, rice flour, cumin seeds, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt.
  3. Gradually add water to the dry mixture, stirring until a smooth batter forms; it should be thick enough to coat the spinach leaves.
  4. Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
  5. Dip each spinach leaf into the batter, ensuring it is well coated, and gently place it in the hot oil.
  6. Fry the pakoras in batches, turning occasionally until they are golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per batch.
