- Rice flakes (Ada) - 100 grams
- Coconut milk - 400 ml
- Jaggery (grated) - 100 grams
- Water - 200 ml
- Cardamom powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Ghee (clarified butter) - 1 tablespoon
- Cashews - 10 pieces
- Raisins - 10 pieces
Steps
- Soak the rice flakes in water for about 15 minutes, then drain and set aside.
- In a pan, heat the ghee over medium heat and fry the cashews and raisins until golden brown. Remove them and set aside.
- In the same pan, add the soaked rice flakes and sauté for 2-3 minutes until they become slightly translucent.
- Pour in the water and bring it to a boil. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 10 minutes, or until the rice flakes are cooked through.
- Add the grated jaggery and stir until it dissolves completely.
- Pour in the coconut milk and add the cardamom powder. Mix well and let it simmer for another 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Once the dessert thickens to your desired consistency, remove it from heat.
- Serve warm, garnished with fried cashews and raisins.
