Ingredients

Steps

  1. Wearing gloves, rinse the fresh nettle leaves thoroughly under cold water to remove any dirt or insects.
  2. In a saucepan, bring 500 milliliters of water to a boil.
  3. Once boiling, add the rinsed nettle leaves to the water and reduce heat to a simmer.
  4. Allow the nettle leaves to steep in the simmering water for about 10 minutes.
  5. After 10 minutes, remove the saucepan from heat and strain the infusion into two cups, discarding the leaves.
  6. Add a tablespoon of lemon juice to each cup for flavor, and if desired, stir in a teaspoon of honey for sweetness.
