- Vegetable broth - 500 ml
- Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
- Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Fresh coriander leaves - for garnish
Steps
- Heat the coconut oil in a medium pot over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the minced garlic and grated ginger, cooking for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the cumin powder, coriander powder, and black pepper, stirring well to combine.
- Add the washed nettle leaves and vegetable broth to the pot, bringing the mixture to a boil.
- Reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 15 minutes, until the nettles are tender.
- Remove from heat and blend the soup until smooth using an immersion blender or a regular blender.
- Stir in the lemon juice and season with salt to taste.
- Pour the soup into shot glasses and garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
