Ingredients
- Fresh grated coconut - 200 grams
- Jaggery (grated) - 100 grams
- Cardamom powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Water - 50 ml
- Chopped nuts (cashews, almonds) - 30 grams
Steps
- In a pan, add the grated coconut, jaggery, and water. Cook on medium heat, stirring continuously until the jaggery melts and mixes well with the coconut.
- Once the mixture starts to thicken (about 10-12 minutes), add the cardamom powder and chopped nuts. Mix well.
- Continue cooking for another 5 minutes until the mixture becomes dry and starts to leave the sides of the pan.
- Remove the pan from heat and let the mixture cool slightly until it is safe to handle.
- Grease your hands with a little oil and shape the mixture into small round balls (narus). Allow them to cool completely before serving.
