Ingredients

  • Fresh grated coconut - 150 grams
  • Condensed milk - 100 grams
  • Cardamom powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Chopped nuts (almonds and cashews) - 30 grams
  • Ghee (clarified butter) - 1 tablespoon
  • Desiccated coconut (for rolling) - 50 grams

Steps

  1. In a pan, heat 1 tablespoon of ghee over medium heat.
  2. Add the grated coconut and sauté for about 3-4 minutes until it becomes slightly fragrant.
  3. Pour in the condensed milk and mix thoroughly with the coconut.
  4. Add the cardamom powder and chopped nuts, stirring until the mixture thickens and starts to leave the sides of the pan.
  5. Remove from heat and let the mixture cool for a few minutes.
  6. Once cool enough to handle, grease your hands with a little ghee and shape the mixture into small round balls (ladoo).
  7. Roll each ladoo in desiccated coconut to coat them evenly.
  8. Place the finished ladoos on a plate and refrigerate for about 10 minutes before serving.
