Ingredients
- Chickpea flour (besan) - 100 grams
- Coconut oil - 75 grams
- Sugar - 100 grams
- Water - 100 ml
- Cardamom powder - 1/4 teaspoon
- Salt - a pinch
Steps
- In a pan, heat the coconut oil on low flame until melted.
- Add the chickpea flour and roast it in the oil for about 8-10 minutes, stirring continuously until it turns golden brown and aromatic.
- In a separate pot, combine sugar and water and bring it to a boil until the sugar completely dissolves, forming a syrup.
- Add the cardamom powder and a pinch of salt to the syrup, mixing well.
- Slowly pour the hot sugar syrup into the roasted chickpea flour, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
- Continue to cook the mixture on low heat, stirring constantly until it thickens and starts to leave the sides of the pan.
- Pour the mixture into a greased plate or tray and spread it evenly.
- Allow it to cool for about 15-20 minutes before cutting it into pieces.
