Ingredients

  • Mushrooms - 200 grams, sliced
  • Onions - 2 large, sliced
  • Tomato - 1 medium, chopped
  • Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Green chilies - 2, slit
  • Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Cooking oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt - to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves - for garnish

Steps

  1. Heat the cooking oil in a pan over medium heat and add cumin seeds. Allow them to splutter.
  2. Add the sliced onions and sauté until they turn golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Stir in the ginger-garlic paste and green chilies, cooking for another 2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Add the chopped tomato and cook until it softens, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle in the turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for 2 minutes.
  6. Add the sliced mushrooms to the pan and stir to coat them with the spices. Cook for 5-7 minutes until the mushrooms are tender.
  7. Sprinkle garam masala over the mixture and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  8. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
