- Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
- Green chilies - 2, slit
- Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
- Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
- Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
- Cooking oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves - for garnish
Steps
- Heat the cooking oil in a pan over medium heat and add cumin seeds. Allow them to splutter.
- Add the sliced onions and sauté until they turn golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in the ginger-garlic paste and green chilies, cooking for another 2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the chopped tomato and cook until it softens, about 3-4 minutes.
- Sprinkle in the turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for 2 minutes.
- Add the sliced mushrooms to the pan and stir to coat them with the spices. Cook for 5-7 minutes until the mushrooms are tender.
- Sprinkle garam masala over the mixture and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
