- Puffed rice - 100 grams
- Peanuts - 30 grams
- Mustard seeds - 1 teaspoon
- Curry leaves - 10 leaves
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Oil - 2 tablespoons
- Chopped coriander leaves - 2 tablespoons
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add 1 teaspoon of mustard seeds and let them splutter.
- Stir in 10 curry leaves and sauté for a few seconds until fragrant.
- Add 30 grams of peanuts and cook until they are golden brown, stirring frequently.
- Sprinkle in 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder and 1 teaspoon of red chili powder, and mix well.
- Add 100 grams of puffed rice to the pan and stir to coat it evenly with the spices.
- Season with salt to taste and toss everything together for about 2 minutes on low heat.
- Remove from heat and mix in 2 tablespoons of chopped coriander leaves and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice.
- Serve warm or at room temperature.
