Ingredients

  • Puffed rice - 100 grams
  • Peanuts - 30 grams
  • Mustard seeds - 1 teaspoon
  • Curry leaves - 10 leaves
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Chopped coriander leaves - 2 tablespoons
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add 1 teaspoon of mustard seeds and let them splutter.
  3. Stir in 10 curry leaves and sauté for a few seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add 30 grams of peanuts and cook until they are golden brown, stirring frequently.
  5. Sprinkle in 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder and 1 teaspoon of red chili powder, and mix well.
  6. Add 100 grams of puffed rice to the pan and stir to coat it evenly with the spices.
  7. Season with salt to taste and toss everything together for about 2 minutes on low heat.
  8. Remove from heat and mix in 2 tablespoons of chopped coriander leaves and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice.
  9. Serve warm or at room temperature.
