Ingredients

  • Chicken breast - 300 grams
  • Fresh methi (fenugreek leaves) - 50 grams
  • Yogurt - 100 grams
  • Ginger paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Oil - 1 tablespoon (for marinade)
  • Skewers - 4 (soaked in water if wooden)

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine yogurt, ginger paste, garlic paste, lemon juice, garam masala, cumin powder, red chili powder, turmeric powder, salt, and oil to make the marinade.
  2. Wash and chop the methi leaves finely, then add them to the marinade and mix well.
  3. Cut the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces and add to the marinade, ensuring each piece is well coated. Cover and marinate for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
  4. Preheat your grill or oven to 200°C (392°F).
  5. Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto the skewers.
  6. Grill the skewers for about 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and has a nice char.
  7. Serve hot with mint chutney and lemon wedges.
