- Fresh methi (fenugreek leaves) - 50 grams
- Yogurt - 100 grams
- Ginger paste - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
- Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Oil - 1 tablespoon (for marinade)
- Skewers - 4 (soaked in water if wooden)
Steps
- In a bowl, combine yogurt, ginger paste, garlic paste, lemon juice, garam masala, cumin powder, red chili powder, turmeric powder, salt, and oil to make the marinade.
- Wash and chop the methi leaves finely, then add them to the marinade and mix well.
- Cut the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces and add to the marinade, ensuring each piece is well coated. Cover and marinate for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
- Preheat your grill or oven to 200°C (392°F).
- Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto the skewers.
- Grill the skewers for about 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and has a nice char.
- Serve hot with mint chutney and lemon wedges.
