Ingredients

  • All-purpose flour - 150 grams
  • Water - 60 ml
  • Cabbage - 50 grams, finely chopped
  • Carrot - 50 grams, grated
  • Green beans - 30 grams, finely chopped
  • Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Garlic - 1 teaspoon, minced
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Spring onions - 1 tablespoon, chopped (for garnish)

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour and a pinch of salt. Gradually add water and knead to form a smooth dough. Cover it with a damp cloth and let it rest for 15 minutes.
  2. In a pan, heat the oil over medium heat. Add the onion, ginger, and garlic, and sauté until the onion is translucent.
  3. Add the chopped cabbage, grated carrot, and green beans to the pan. Stir-fry for about 5 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
  4. Add soy sauce, salt, and black pepper to the mixture. Stir well and cook for another 2 minutes. Remove from heat and let the filling cool.
  5. Divide the dough into small balls (about 20 grams each). Roll out each ball into a thin circle, about 10 cm in diameter.
  6. Place a spoonful of the vegetable filling in the center of each circle. Fold the dough over the filling and pinch the edges to seal them tightly.
  7. Prepare a steamer and place the momos in it, ensuring they don't touch each other. Steam for 10-12 minutes until the dough is cooked through.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with chopped spring onions, alongside a spicy dipping sauce.
