  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Fresh spinach - 50 grams
  • Avocado - 1 medium, sliced
  • Cherry tomatoes - 100 grams, halved

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Peel the sweet potatoes and slice them into 1.5 cm thick rounds to form the burger 'buns'.
  3. Arrange the sweet potato slices on a baking sheet, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until tender and slightly crispy.
  4. In a bowl, combine ground bison, chopped red onion, minced garlic, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and form into two patties.
  5. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the bison patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
  6. Once the sweet potatoes and patties are ready, assemble the burger by placing a bison patty between two sweet potato slices. Top with fresh spinach, avocado slices, and cherry tomatoes.
