- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Fresh spinach - 50 grams
- Avocado - 1 medium, sliced
- Cherry tomatoes - 100 grams, halved
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Peel the sweet potatoes and slice them into 1.5 cm thick rounds to form the burger 'buns'.
- Arrange the sweet potato slices on a baking sheet, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until tender and slightly crispy.
- In a bowl, combine ground bison, chopped red onion, minced garlic, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and form into two patties.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the bison patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
- Once the sweet potatoes and patties are ready, assemble the burger by placing a bison patty between two sweet potato slices. Top with fresh spinach, avocado slices, and cherry tomatoes.
