Steps

  1. Begin by crumbling the paneer into a mixing bowl until it is fine and smooth.
  2. In a pan, heat the ghee over medium heat and add the crumbled paneer.
  3. Stir the paneer continuously for about 5 minutes until it starts to release a bit of moisture.
  4. Add the sugar and mix well until it dissolves completely.
  5. Pour in the milk and continue to stir until the mixture thickens, about 10 minutes.
  6. Add the cardamom powder, saffron strands, and rose water, mixing thoroughly.
  7. Cook for an additional 5 minutes until the mixture leaves the sides of the pan.
  8. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly, then shape the mixture into small squares or round balls.
  9. Garnish with chopped pistachios before serving.
