Ingredients

  • Fresh methi leaves (fenugreek) - 100 grams
  • Paneer - 200 grams
  • Yogurt - 100 grams
  • Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Skewers - 4 (if using wooden skewers, soak in water for 30 minutes)

Steps

  1. Wash and dry the methi leaves thoroughly, then chop them finely.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, garam masala, red chili powder, turmeric powder, lemon juice, salt, and oil to create a marinade.
  3. Add the chopped methi leaves and cubed paneer to the marinade, ensuring everything is well-coated. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  4. Preheat the grill or oven to 200°C (390°F).
  5. Thread the marinated paneer and methi mixture onto the skewers, alternating between the two.
  6. Place the skewers on the grill or in the oven and cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally until the paneer is golden and slightly charred.
  7. Remove from the grill and serve hot with mint chutney and lemon wedges.
