  • Rice flour - 30 grams
  • Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Water - 100 ml (adjust as needed)
  • Oil - 2 tablespoons (for cooking)
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. Wash the fresh fenugreek leaves thoroughly and chop them finely.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine whole wheat flour, rice flour, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt.
  3. Add the chopped fenugreek leaves to the flour mixture and mix well.
  4. Gradually add water to the mixture, kneading until you form a smooth, pliable dough.
  5. Divide the dough into equal portions and roll each portion into a flat disc (approximately 10 cm in diameter).
  6. Heat a tawa or flat griddle over medium heat and lightly grease it with oil.
  7. Cook each flatbread on the tawa for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and slightly crispy.
  8. Drizzle a little oil on each side while cooking for added flavor.
  9. Once cooked, remove from the tawa and squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top before serving.
