Ingredients

  • Chicken breast, boneless - 300 grams
  • Fresh methi (fenugreek leaves) - 100 grams
  • Onion, finely chopped - 1 medium (about 100 grams)
  • Tomato, chopped - 1 medium (about 100 grams)
  • Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Green chili, slit - 1
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Cooking oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt - to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves, chopped - for garnishing

Steps

  1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
  2. Add the chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
  3. Stir in the ginger-garlic paste and green chili, cooking for another minute until fragrant.
  4. Add the chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Cook until tomatoes are soft and oil separates.
  5. Add the chicken pieces to the pan and cook until they are no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.
  6. Stir in the fresh methi leaves and garam masala. Cook for another 5-7 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and the methi is wilted.
  7. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
