- Fresh methi (fenugreek leaves) - 100 grams
- Onion, finely chopped - 1 medium (about 100 grams)
- Tomato, chopped - 1 medium (about 100 grams)
- Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
- Green chili, slit - 1
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
- Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
- Cooking oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves, chopped - for garnishing
Steps
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
- Add the chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
- Stir in the ginger-garlic paste and green chili, cooking for another minute until fragrant.
- Add the chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Cook until tomatoes are soft and oil separates.
- Add the chicken pieces to the pan and cook until they are no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in the fresh methi leaves and garam masala. Cook for another 5-7 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and the methi is wilted.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
