Ingredients

  • Pizza dough - 250 grams
  • Fresh methi (fenugreek) leaves - 100 grams
  • Heavy cream - 100 ml
  • Onion - 1 medium, finely chopped
  • Bell pepper - 1 small, diced
  • Tomato - 1 small, diced
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Cheese (mozzarella or pizza cheese) - 150 grams, grated
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Red chili flakes - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoon

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F).
  2. In a pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and grated ginger, sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add finely chopped onions and sauté until translucent. Then add diced bell pepper and tomatoes, cooking for another 3-4 minutes.
  4. Stir in the fresh methi leaves, cumin powder, garam masala, salt, and black pepper. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the methi is wilted. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  5. In a mixing bowl, combine the sautéed mixture with heavy cream, stirring well to create a creamy methi sauce.
  6. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness and shape.
  7. Transfer the rolled-out dough to a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  8. Spread the methi cream mixture evenly over the pizza base.
  9. Top with grated cheese and sprinkle red chili flakes over the top.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and the crust is golden brown.
  11. Remove from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, slice, and serve hot.
