- Chicken breast - 300 grams, diced
- Fresh methi (fenugreek leaves) - 50 grams, chopped
- Onion - 1 medium, finely chopped
- Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
- Green chili - 1, slit
- Tomato - 1 medium, pureed
- Heavy cream - 100 milliliters
- Cooking oil - 2 tablespoons
- Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
- Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Coriander leaves - for garnish
Steps
- Heat the cooking oil in a pan over medium heat and add cumin seeds. Allow them to splutter.
- Add the finely chopped onion and sauté until golden brown.
- Stir in the ginger-garlic paste and slit green chili, cooking for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the diced chicken pieces, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Cook until the chicken is no longer pink.
- Pour in the tomato puree and mix well, cooking for an additional 5 minutes.
- Add the chopped methi leaves and mix into the chicken. Cook for another 3 minutes until the methi wilts.
- Reduce the heat and stir in the heavy cream. Simmer for 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
- Finish with garam masala and garnish with chopped coriander leaves before serving.
