- Cauliflower - 300 grams, cut into florets
- Fenugreek leaves (methi) - 100 grams, chopped
- Onion - 1 medium, finely chopped
- Tomato - 1 medium, chopped
- Green chili - 1, slit
- Ginger - 1 inch piece, grated
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Cumin seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
- Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
- Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Oil - 1 tablespoon
- Fresh coriander leaves - for garnish
Steps
- Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat and add cumin seeds. Allow them to splutter.
- Add the chopped onions and sauté until they are translucent.
- Stir in the grated ginger and slit green chili, cooking for another minute.
- Add the chopped tomato and sauté until it softens.
- Sprinkle in the turmeric powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well.
- Add the cauliflower florets and stir to coat them with the spices.
- Cover the pan and cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cauliflower is tender.
- Stir in the chopped methi leaves and garam masala, cooking for another 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
