- Plain yogurt - 100 grams
- Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Cooking oil - 2 tablespoons
- Skewers - 2 (soaked in water if wooden)
Steps
- In a large bowl, combine the yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, salt, and cooking oil to create a marinade.
- Add the chopped methi leaves to the marinade and mix well.
- Cut the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces and add them to the marinade, ensuring all pieces are well-coated. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat your grill or oven to 200°C (about 400°F).
- Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto the skewers.
- Place the skewers on the grill or a baking tray and cook for 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and has a nice char.
- Remove from the grill, let it rest for a few minutes, and serve hot with mint chutney or lemon wedges.
