- Ginger - 1 inch, grated
- Green chili - 1, slit
- Chicken broth - 500 ml
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Fresh coriander leaves - for garnish
Steps
- Heat olive oil in a pot over medium heat. Add chopped onions and sauté until they turn translucent.
- Add minced garlic, grated ginger, and slit green chili. Cook for another minute until fragrant.
- Stir in the diced chicken breast and cook until it's no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.
- Sprinkle turmeric powder, cumin powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to coat the chicken with the spices.
- Pour in the chicken broth and bring the mixture to a boil. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for 10 minutes.
- Add the chopped methi leaves to the pot and cook for another 5 minutes until the leaves wilt.
- Finish with a squeeze of lemon juice and adjust seasoning if necessary.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh coriander leaves.
