Ingredients

  • Chicken breast - 300 grams
  • Fresh methi (fenugreek leaves) - 50 grams
  • Onion - 1 medium, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 inch, minced
  • Green chili - 1, slit
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Coriander leaves - for garnish

Steps

  1. Clean and cut the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces and place them in a mixing bowl.
  2. Add chopped methi leaves, minced garlic, minced ginger, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala, lemon juice, and salt to the chicken. Mix well and marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Heat oil in a non-stick frying pan over medium heat.
  4. Add the chopped onions and slit green chili, sautéing until the onions turn golden brown.
  5. Add the marinated chicken to the pan, spreading it evenly. Cook for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and slightly crispy.
  6. Once done, garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or roti.
