Ingredients

  • Prawns (peeled and deveined) - 300 grams
  • Yogurt - 100 grams
  • Ginger paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves (chopped) - for garnish
  • Oil (for brushing) - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine yogurt, ginger paste, garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, lemon juice, and salt to create the marinade.
  2. Add the prawns to the marinade and mix well until they are evenly coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  3. Preheat your grill or BBQ to medium-high heat.
  4. Thread the marinated prawns onto skewers, leaving some space between each prawn.
  5. Brush the prawns lightly with oil to prevent sticking.
  6. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the prawns are opaque and cooked through.
  7. Remove the prawns from the grill and garnish with chopped fresh coriander leaves before serving.
