Ingredients

  • Paneer - 200 grams
  • Bell peppers (red, green, yellow) - 1 each, diced
  • Onion - 1 medium, diced
  • Yogurt - 100 grams
  • Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Skewers - 4 (if using wooden skewers, soak in water for 30 minutes)

Steps

  1. Cut the paneer into 2.5 cm cubes.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, garam masala, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin powder, lemon juice, and salt. Mix well to form a marinade.
  3. Add the paneer cubes, diced bell peppers, and onion to the marinade. Toss gently to coat all pieces evenly. Cover and let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  4. Preheat a grill or barbecue on medium-high heat.
  5. Thread the marinated paneer and vegetables onto the skewers, alternating between paneer, bell peppers, and onion.
  6. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally until paneer is golden and vegetables are slightly charred.
  7. Remove from grill and serve hot with mint chutney or yogurt dip.
