Ingredients

  • Fish fillets (preferably tilapia or pomfret) - 300 grams
  • Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon (adjust to taste)
  • Coconut flour - 2 tablespoons
  • Rice flour - 1 tablespoon
  • Coconut oil or ghee - for frying (approximately 3 tablespoons)
  • Fresh coriander leaves - for garnish

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the fish fillets with lemon juice, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well to coat the fish evenly and let it marinate for 15 minutes.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix coconut flour and rice flour together.
  3. Heat coconut oil or ghee in a frying pan over medium heat.
  4. Dredge each marinated fish fillet in the flour mixture, ensuring an even coating on both sides.
  5. Once the oil is hot, carefully place the coated fish fillets in the pan and fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Remove the fish from the pan and place it on paper towels to absorb excess oil.
  7. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with lemon wedges.
