Ingredients

  • Chicken breast - 300 grams, cut into 2.5 cm cubes
  • Greek yogurt - 100 grams
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Ginger paste - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic paste - 1 teaspoon
  • Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Ground coriander - 1 teaspoon
  • Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon (adjust to taste)
  • Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Bell peppers - 1 medium, cut into 2.5 cm pieces
  • Red onion - 1 small, cut into 2.5 cm pieces
  • Wooden skewers - 4 (soaked in water for 30 minutes)

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine Greek yogurt, lemon juice, ginger paste, garlic paste, ground cumin, ground coriander, garam masala, turmeric powder, red chili powder, salt, and vegetable oil to create the marinade.
  2. Add the chicken cubes to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or up to overnight for best flavor.
  3. Preheat the grill or barbecue to medium-high heat.
  4. Thread the marinated chicken, bell peppers, and red onion onto the soaked wooden skewers, alternating between the chicken and vegetables.
  5. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and has nice grill marks.
  6. Remove from the grill and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
