Ingredients

  • Ground chicken - 300 grams
  • Onion - 1 medium, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
  • Green chili - 1, finely chopped
  • Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Breadcrumbs - 2 tablespoons
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons (for cooking)
  • Burger buns - 2
  • Lettuce leaves - 2
  • Tomato - 1, sliced
  • Cucumber - 1/2, sliced
  • Yogurt - 100 grams
  • Mint leaves - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Chaat masala - 1/2 teaspoon

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, chopped onion, minced garlic, grated ginger, chopped green chili, chopped cilantro, garam masala, cumin powder, coriander powder, salt, black pepper, lemon juice, and breadcrumbs. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
  2. Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties.
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the chicken patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through and have a nice golden brown color.
  4. While the patties are cooking, prepare the yogurt sauce by mixing yogurt, chopped mint leaves, and chaat masala in a small bowl. Set aside.
  5. Toast the burger buns lightly on a separate pan until golden brown.
  6. Assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by the chicken patty, sliced tomato, and cucumber. Drizzle the yogurt sauce on top, and cover with the top half of the bun.
  7. Serve immediately with your favorite sides.
