- Paneer - 150 grams
- Boiled Potatoes - 100 grams
- Green Peas - 50 grams
- Cornstarch - 2 tablespoons
- Garam Masala - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin Powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Red Chili Powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Oil - for frying
- Onion - 1 medium, finely chopped
- Ginger-Garlic Paste - 1 teaspoon
- Tomatoes - 2 medium, pureed
- Heavy Cream - 50 ml
- Butter - 1 tablespoon
- Cilantro - for garnish
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, mash the paneer and boiled potatoes together until smooth.
- Add green peas, cornstarch, garam masala, cumin powder, red chili powder, and salt to the mixture, and knead to form a dough.
- Shape the mixture into small balls (koftas) and set aside.
- Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat and fry the koftas until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- In another pan, melt butter and sauté the chopped onions until golden.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté until fragrant.
- Stir in the tomato puree and cook until the oil separates from the mixture.
- Add salt, red chili powder, and garam masala, and cook for another 5 minutes.
- Reduce heat and stir in the heavy cream, cooking until heated through.
- Gently add the fried koftas to the gravy and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve hot with naan or rice.
