  • Potato (boiled and mashed) - 1 medium
  • Cumin seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Oil (for cooking) - 1 tablespoon
  • Coriander leaves (finely chopped) - 2 tablespoons

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the buckwheat flour, mashed potato, cumin seeds, salt, and chopped coriander leaves.
  2. Gradually add water to the mixture and knead it into a smooth dough. Adjust the water quantity as needed to achieve the right consistency.
  3. Divide the dough into two equal portions and shape them into balls.
  4. On a flat surface, dust with a little buckwheat flour and roll out each ball into a circle about 6 inches in diameter.
  5. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it with oil.
  6. Place a rolled-out roti on the skillet and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown spots appear.
  7. Repeat with the second roti, and serve hot with your favorite chutney or yogurt.
