Ingredients

  • Buckwheat flour - 1 cup
  • Yogurt - 1/2 cup
  • Water - 1/2 cup
  • Chopped spinach - 1/2 cup
  • Chopped onion - 1/4 cup
  • Green chili (finely chopped) - 1 small
  • Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
  • Salt - to taste
  • Oil - for cooking

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the buckwheat flour, yogurt, and water to form a smooth batter. Let it rest for 15 minutes.
  2. After resting, add the chopped spinach, chopped onion, green chili, cumin seeds, and salt to the batter. Mix well.
  3. Heat a non-stick skillet or tawa over medium heat and lightly grease it with oil.
  4. Pour a ladleful of batter onto the hot skillet and spread it into a thin circle.
  5. Drizzle a little oil around the edges and cook until the dosa is golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes.
  6. Flip the dosa and cook for another 1-2 minutes until cooked through.
  7. Repeat with the remaining batter to make additional dosas.
  8. Serve hot with chutney or yogurt.
