- Ginger - 1 inch, grated

- Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Water - 200 ml
- Oil - for frying
- Burger buns - 2
- Lettuce leaves - 2
- Tomato - 1, sliced
- Onion - 1, sliced
- Green chutney - for spreading
- Yogurt - 2 tablespoons (optional, for serving)
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the chickpea flour, rice flour, chopped coriander, green chilies, grated ginger, turmeric powder, cumin powder, and salt.
- Gradually add water to the mixture and stir until you achieve a thick batter consistency.
- Pour the batter into a greased steaming dish or a plate and spread it evenly.
- Steam the mixture for about 15-20 minutes until it is firm and cooked through.
- Once cooled, cut the steamed mixture into burger-sized patties.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat and shallow fry the patties until golden brown and crispy on both sides.
- Toast the burger buns lightly on the same pan.
- Assemble the burger by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of the bun, followed by the fried patty, tomato slices, onion slices, and a spread of green chutney. Top with the other half of the bun.
- Serve with a side of yogurt if desired.
