- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Curry leaves - 8-10 leaves
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
- Fish masala - 1 teaspoon
- Water - 500 milliliters
- Coriander leaves - a handful, chopped
- Salt - to taste
- Lime - 1, juiced
Steps
- Heat coconut oil in a pot over medium heat.
- Add chopped onions and sauté until they turn translucent.
- Stir in the minced garlic, grated ginger, and slit green chilies, cooking for another minute until fragrant.
- Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they soften.
- Sprinkle in the turmeric powder, red chili powder, and fish masala, stirring well to combine.
- Pour in the water and bring the mixture to a boil.
- Once boiling, add the fish pieces and curry leaves, reducing the heat to a simmer.
- Cook for about 10-12 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through.
- Season with salt to taste and stir in the lime juice.
- Garnish with chopped coriander leaves before serving.
