  • Fish fillets (Pomfret or Kingfish) - 300 grams
  • Rice flour - 4 tablespoons
  • Chili powder - 1 tablespoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt - to taste
  • Coconut oil - for frying
  • Fresh coriander leaves - for garnish

Steps

  1. Clean the fish fillets thoroughly and pat them dry with a paper towel.
  2. In a bowl, mix the rice flour, chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, coriander powder, salt, and lemon juice to form a paste.
  3. Coat the fish fillets evenly with the spice paste, ensuring all sides are covered. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  4. Heat coconut oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  5. Once the oil is hot, carefully place the marinated fish fillets in the pan.
  6. Fry the fish for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Remove the fish from the pan and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb excess oil.
  8. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with lemon wedges.
